Currently, the term ‘Local brand’ is a very familiar one to most Vietnamese young people, especially those who want to support fashion designed by the Vietnamese and made in Vietnam.
It is estimated that there are thousands of Vietnamese local brands of all styles, concepts, and sizes, and this number keeps rising without an end. When being asked about my most favorite local brand, I have no hesitation to say: It’s Lider Closet. Let’s dive into what makes me love Lider so much and how it is so outstanding from a vast ocean of local brands.
What is Lider?
For those who are unfamiliar with Lider, this is a leading local brand for menswear and unisex styles. Founded in 2014 by 2 famous fashionistas in Vietnam, Lider Closet is well known as the closet of fashion leaders who not only follow the trends but also create ones.
With approximately over 7 years of creating and producing fashion items for young men, Lider Closet has built up its irreplaceable position in Vietnamese local brands and become the favorite and well-known design house for menswear and unisex clothes.
Lider Closet - This is an amazing Vietnamese local brand that I love the most
Lider used to start a branch for female fashion called Lider Love. Unfortunately, Lider Love did not make it as expected as Lider Closet did and has been shut down lately.
After that, the two founders concentrate 200% on their one and only local brand - Lider Closet, and manage to make it ‘shine bright like a diamond’ as we all can see now.
Lider has three different stores in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi Capital City. The flagship store is located on the 2nd floor of Ton That Thiep Building, and another smaller store is established in The New PlayGround (This is well-known heaven for checking in, shopping, and photography of Vietnamese local brands and young fashionistas). At the end of 2021, Lider has relocated its flagship store to a better place.
What makes Lider Closet stand out from a vast ocean of Vietnamese local brands out there?
Guess what, until now, Lider’s items cover nearly everything in my closet from a lot of tees, tank tops, shirts, jackets in multiple colors, styles, and materials to accessories such as bags, caps, glasses, and more.
Yes, I have to admit that I am a big and crazy fan of Lider Closet, and I have obvious reasons for that!
High quality & Worth Money
The first reason that can convince not only me but also a lot of shoppers is the quality. I have been experiencing Lider’s products for 4 - 5 years already, and I can say Lider has the best quality for their products in comparison with other Vietnamese local brands or even some global brands. You can evaluate the quality of the materials and the prints on items.
I still remember that I ran into the first items of Lider when I was in the second year of university. They are a t-shirt and a jogger pants in gray. After 5 years, they are still in good condition and I can wear them normally and nicely without concern about pilling (damaged fabric) or ripping. That’s the first visible point about quality.
Secondly, Lider has a lot of t-shirts with prints. And you know what, the prints on Lider’s items do not get damaged easily like other brands’ items. The evidence is that I have several t-shirts with prints in the old collections of Lider, and their condition is still so good and I can wear them every day until now.
In short, whenever I buy any items from this Vietnamese local brand, I am happy and willing to pay because of the high-quality Lider enures in each product they produce.
Stylish & trending
Unlike most local brands in Vietnam, Lider Closet launches new items frequently. Typically, Lider always has new collections for the big holiday occasions of the years such as Christmas, New Year, or some holidays like Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day, etc.
Lider always blows your minds with new hot collections
Sometimes, Lider also collaborates with other brands for unique fashion styles and seasonal trending items. For example, Lider used to partner up with Cheese Coffee for a mini collection and a fashion show held right in a Cheese Coffee shop.
A special collection Lider produced for Tet Holiday
With very high and strong creativity as well as a brilliant sense of fashion, the two founders of Lider Closet always know how to wow us in their new products or campaigns. Recently, they create a unique and friendly theme for the t-shirts called ‘ỦA’, and it has gained popularity on social media channels especially Instagram with thousands of items sold out.

In brief, I have to emphasize that Lider is an amazing Vietnamese local brand with new updated collections that keep you stylish and trendy as hell. That makes me love Lider and be willing to purchase everything from Lider.
